From Syria to St. Louis

Family recipes,
a life in hospitality,
and a place to connect.

Ranoush grew from chef and owner Aboud Alhamid’s Syrian roots, years in hospitality, and a simple idea: bring the warmth of family cooking to St. Louis. The menu draws on recipes passed through his family, including dishes inspired by his mother’s kitchen.

The name Ranoush itself is personal—an Arabic nickname chosen in honor of Aboud’s wife. Today, the family’s hospitality continues across the Delmar Loop and Central West End.
